Unfortunately, if you are looking for a vacation spot, the Lilac Bower
exists only in my imagination. And while that can be a big place, the
rent is exorbitant. Ha. Ha.
Leslie needed a place to stay and Carterville didn't have a Holiday Inn
or anything like that where she could find a long term rental on short
notice. The Lilac Bower started as an old Victorian home, but took on a
character of its own as Minnie started renovations. Minnie just
didn't seem like a woman who would surround herself with lace and
doilies and lots of purple.
